NFL players will not vote on new CBA Wednesday
An NFL Players Association committee will not vote on a new collective bargaining agreement as expected, according to the Associated Press, citing a person familiar with the negotiations.

Delaying the vote may prevent the owners from ratifying any proposal tomorrow in Atlanta pending further developments.

Falcons T Tyson Clabo told NFL Network, "We've still got a lot of work to do," as the team player reps left NFLPA headquarters in Washington.

The development follows NFLPA president Kevin Mawae's Wednesday announcement that the players were not under any deadline to vote on a deal.

Said Mawae: "We're not tied to a deadline of July 21 (when owners will meet in Atlanta to potentially ratify a proposed CBA). Our timeline is getting the best deal for our players — today, tomorrow or whatever it might be."

However, Wednesday's meeting was supposed to be lengthy as players reps were to be updated on the details of a proposal intended to end the four-month lockout.

Reps were once expected to stay into the evening and possibly suggest a vote to their 1,900 members Wednesday. There was no word when a vote would be taken, though executive committee officials were expected to speak later in the day.
